HRK Colour Modules – True Analogue Plugins!

Colour Modules are Hardware Analogue Plugins made with NOS Discrete Components and Valves which add pleasing harmonics and subtle saturation to the signal, delivering the sonic results of the Vintage Studio Equipment for a fraction of the Price!

Each Colour Module is different and uniquely impacts the sound. You can use the Colour Modules for Recording, Tracking and Mastering.

What benefit I will get from Colour Modules?

The modern DAW systems can produce great results, but most of the sound engineers and music producers will admit that the mix produced with DAW is missing something… some special ingredient, which is the analogue magic.

This is why the big recording studios have racks filled with vintage preamps, compressors and equalizers. The HRK Colour Modules are real Analogue Plugins which will help you to make better recording and mixes standing out from the crowd.

Unique EQ Bypass Feature

The EQ of the MPQ568C is made of 2 independent filter circuits for the Top and a Low shelf section.

Each band has a switch which allows selecting between two frequencies. The middle position of the switch will disable the EQ functionality for an individual band, but it will not bypass the other EQ band.

Such solution gives more flexibility! For example, only the Top band can be disengaged while Lows can be still boosted or cut.

Optimised Gain Control

The Gain control is optimised for using the Colour Modules. The gain range up to +40dB covers the majority of the gain knob scale.

Such a solution allows better control of the saturation or drive of the colour modules. It also helps in recordings with condenser microphones.

It requires a little bit of practice and sometimes changing the habits to use the Colour Preamps.

More information about using the Colour Preamps and Colour Modules are in the User Manual.

Add Vintage Analogue Tone to any Track or Mix.

The MPQ568C Active Line Input is designed for processing the line signals with Colour Modules and the onboard two bands EQ.

You can easily add the magic vintage vibe to any DAW track or the mix and achieve stunning results with your digital recordings.

The MPQ568C Active Line Input is not a simple resistor attenuator mic input PAD, which can be found in many low-quality preamps.

The Active Line Input is a high-quality, dedicated balanced circuit, actively attenuating the signal, without the degradation of the noise performance.

The Line input is suitable for a wide range of signal sources. It provides -18dB of attenuation before the colour modules. As a result, the colour modules saturation can be controlled accurately, delivering a sonic palette of effects.

Tip: Why you should not use the resistor mic input PAD.

The most common way of adding the Line Input functionality is the mic input resistor PAD.

The mic input PAD is nothing more than resistors added on the input of the microphone preamplifier.

The signal is attenuated and again amplified by the microphone preamplifier. As a result, the signal-to-noise ratio is worsening.

Also, the impedance matching between the source and the mic preamp is disrupted causing unwanted frequency response issues.

Two Colour Modules | Two Times More Creativity!

The MPQ568C has two slots for Colour Modules. A perfect solution for recording vocals and instruments. Two slots can hold different Colour Modules which could be used to record different source without a need of replacing the colour for each take.

Both Colour Modules have separate Bypass switches providing hassle-free operation. MPQ568 can also be very useful for mastering and post-processing.Ability to have 2 Colour Modules gives more flexibility, and the two bands EQ will add the necessary final touch to the track or mix.

Return Policy

Our return policy is a part of the general Terms & Condition which you have to acknowledge at the checkout.

We stand for fair rules and a win-win approach. We understand that our customers may wish to return the product and we do provide such option. However, because we are a small company we can’t afford to run a grade B outlet shop like big distributors and provide the 30 days return period.

We can’t also scrap every returned unit. We could charge our customers more to offset the cost of the returns, this is what major distributors do. Or we can keep our prices low and hope that our customers will appreciate our policy.

This is why we provide the 7 days test period after receiving the package with the ordered items and if you wish to return the item we will accept the return request, providing that the item is not damaged and we can resell the product with the minimal loss for the company.

If the item is damaged during the transport we will do our best to help you and provide the replacement product.
